| Welcome to the Maxim portal
on the NComm
web site!
Maxim and NComm have
a partnership that began over five years ago. It has
grown to provide you with the best possible options for
your telecommunication and datacommunication development
projects. Whether you are looking for framers to go it
alone, a turn key development, or anything in between,
you have come to the right place.

Years
ago, Dallas recognized that the best way to serve you is
for us all to do what we do best. Maxim knows how
to design chips and they do it very, very well. While continuing
to cover more and more of the WAN space, they continuously
work to add more functionality to their silicon, reduce
power and board space, and increase density to make your
hardware more effective and efficient. The Dallas side
of the partnership provides you with leading edge silicon
solutions for efficient, cost effective T1 / E1 and T3
/ E3 interfaces. They offer reference designs and application
notes to speed your hardware to completion.
Free with many of the Dallas
framers, line interface units (LIUs), and transceivers
(framer + LIUs), you will also receive development grade
software drivers (email Dallas Semiconductor's support
group at telecom.support@dalsemi.com and
request the free driver code for the product you are using)
that are ready to use as-is in your project. These drivers
were written by NComm and incorporate the perspective of
engineers who develop commercial telecom and datacom systems
just like you do. We are experts at creating finished,
standard compliant offerings that hook up to the network.
The NComm side of the partnership
takes the silicon expertise of Dallas-Maxim and adds extensive
telecom/datacom product development expertise yielding
the most complete WAN development solution available anywhere. NComm
adds to Dallas-Maxim to offer you the following:
Off-the-shelf Trunk
Management Software that completes the software for
your project yielding a working, standard compliant interface
including configuration, alarms, maintenance/performance monitoring and Channel
Associated Signaling (CAS aka Robbed-bit) in
1-3 days after your hardware is up and debugged. It works.
You don't have to debug it for us. It is designed to
integrate very quickly. It is framer, RTOS and processor
independent. And, it is more cost effective than rolling
your own.
Custom hardware
and software services to fill in for gaps in engineering
resources or expertise. We can do anything from design
reviews to turn-key projects.
So,
take a look. If you are interested in enhancing the bottom
line impact of your project, you will like what you find!
